Flying in the eye of a storm
The eye of Hurricane Katrina on Sunday, August 28, 2005 represents a chilling photograph taken by the daredevil aviators of the Hurricane Hunters squadron of the US Air Force. Katrina went on to become one of the most powerful storms in history, a Category 5 nightmare that devastated New Orleans and large parts of the coastline in the states of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
