A radio mechanic in Bihar's Mansoorpur village is making waves with his very own radio station, that has surpassed the big radio channels in popularity. Raghav runs his venture from an electronics spare parts shop, with nothing more than a transmission kit and an antenna mounted on a bamboo pole. His station plays film songs, broadcasts public interest messages on HIV and polio, and even snappy local news from a 10-km radius for 12 hours at a stretch.
