Focus On AI Education, Medical Seats Expansion In Budget 2025

FM Nirmala Sitharaman said Centre of excellence in Artificial Intelligence will be set up for Rs 100 crore. Additionally, 10,000 new medical seats will be added.  "We aim to add another 75,000 in five years and 10,000 additional seats by next year," she said.

Finance minister Nirmala Sitharam is presenting the first full budget under Modi 3.0 government. This is also her 8th consecutive budget. In her opening speech, she said Viksit Bharat will have zero poverty, quality education, high-quality, affordable and comprehensive healthcare and that this budget will initiate reforms in 6 domains -- taxation, urban development, mining, financial sector, power and regulatory reforms.
