Folk fever takes over Chennai
In Chennai, the harvest festival of Pongal is a feast for one's eyes and ears. Over the next one week, around 2,000 folk artists would showcase the cultural heritage of the state at 17 locations across the city through Chennai Sangamam. And for the palette there would be chefs from five star hotels serving traditional food at street corners. It's an initiative by an NGO with an active role by Chief Minister Karunanidhi's daughter Kanimozhi.
