Food Subsidy Should be Rationalised: Ashok Gulati
Ashok Gulati, chair professor-agriculture at ICRIER, told NDTV that the government can save Rs 30,000 crore annually on food subsidy if they give direct cash transfer to farmers, instead of buying food grains from them and again distributing to them under Food Security Act.
