"Prime Minister Narendra Modi is totally a different persona for the Gujaratis. He is not just a BJP leader, he has established a subliminal connect with the Gujarati's psyche. There are absolutely no ground-level indications that there is high-degree of dissatisfaction that the people have with the present government," Amit Cholakia, professor of political science said.
