Tamil actor Karunakaran has transferred Rs. 1,30,000 to the bank account of G Balan, the 40-year-old farmer in Thanjavur, who was beaten up by the police and his tractor taken away by bank authorities after a court order. Mr Balan had faulted on repayment of his tractor loan after a failed crop and that is the amount he owes the bank.
