Former army chief, VK Singh, commands new controversy
His tenure as army chief was studded with public clashes with the government. Over a year after he retired, General VK Singh is still commanding controversy. He told NDTV today that his legal team is studying its options in response to a report in the Indian Express today. The newspaper says that as part of an army inquiry against the 62-year-old, officers have testified that about a crore of military intelligence funds were paid to a minister in Kashmir to destabilise Omar Abdullah's government.
