Kashmir Singh, roped in as a spy in the years when India-Pakistan hostilities were at its peak, is actually the story of many young, unemployed youth in the border villages of Punjab. They spent years in Pakistani prisons on charges of spying and returned only to find that they had been forgotten and their existence denied.
