Former Top Cop On If Delhi Car Horror Accused Be Charged With Murder
The death of a woman in Delhi after being dragged by a car is simply not a hit-and-run case, sad a former senior officer of Delhi Police. The death by negligence charge was added due to media pressure, said LN Rao, former Deputy Commissioner of Police, Delhi. "When it comes to 302 (the IPC section dealing with murder), we need to conclude there was a motive to kill. A normal person would have taken the victim to the hospital. But they intentionally dragged her for kilometres," he said when asked if the accused should be charged with murder.
