The takeover battle for Parkway Holdings, which owns hospitals like Gleneagles and Mount Elizabeth, is now underway with Fortis Healthcare Ltd making a general offer to buy all of Parkway's shares at 3.80 Singapore dollar per share in cash, barely 2 cents more a piece than Malaysia's investment fund Khazanah.
