Freed Hostages Reunite With Family, Embracing Loved Ones After Return From Gaza

After mediators averted a ceasefire collapse, Hamas released three Israeli hostages on Feb 15 as the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire-hostage deal took effect. In exchange, Israel freed 369 Palestinian prisoners, welcomed by cheering crowds. The freed hostages- Iair Horn, Sagui Dekel Chen, and Sasha Troufanov-had an emotional reunion with their families at an Israeli hospital. So far, 19 Israeli and five Thai hostages have been released, with 73 still in captivity. The total number of Palestinians freed could range from 990 to 1,650. This development raises hopes for further peace negotiations.
