Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on Sunday sounded an alarm for the BJP-led alliance of which he is a member, saying the party's dismal show in the Uttar Pradesh by-elections was proof that the ruling combine needed to mend its image among certain sections of the society. Leaders of the NDA should desist from making off-the-cuff remarks and be "more tactful" during elections, the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) chief said.
