In November 2019, when the Supreme Court decided in favour of a temple in Ayodhya, the RSS chief and the PM hinted at moving forward - not celebrating this as a victory. They said that this was a moment of taking everyone together. That time, one really thought that such a controversial issue is now behind us, and that religious polarisation at least around the masjid mandir lines will be over. However, since early this year, this discourse has started again -- especially with the Gyanvapi mosque survey going ahead now, complete with its twists and turns.
