From riches to rags: Pune's historical assets under threat
Wadas, which were once the grandeur of the Maratha rule in central India in the 17th and 18th century, are now crumbling structures. Pune was home to some 300 wadas, mostly built by the Peshwas, the Brahmin Prime Ministers of the Maratha kings.
