Why Are Fuel Prices Rising
Fuel price rise has left the common man in a fix. After maintaining a steady price range for elongated periods over the previous month, fuel witnessed consecutive price hikes in the month of October. Since 1st January 2021, the petrol prices have been increased by 25%, while diesel prices have increased by 26%. The centre's defence has been that this is because of rise in crude oil price by almost 50% this year, but this is only partly true, here's why.
