The state-owned oil marketing companies on Friday increased fuel prices for the third consecutive day. With the latest revision, petrol and diesel in Delhi have become costlier by 35 paise taking them to new all-time highs. Customers in the national capital now will have to pay Rs 106.89 a litre for petrol and Rs 95.62 a litre for diesel. In the financial capital Mumbai, petrol is inching towards the Rs 113-mark, currently priced at Rs 112.78 a litre while diesel retails at Rs 103.63 a litre. Fuel rates vary across the states due to value-added tax (VAT).
