GAAR deferment a welcome move: Experts

The Shome Committee, set up by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to address the concerns of foreign investors on General Anti Avoidance Rules (GAAR), has recommended the postponement of the controversial tax provision by three years to 2016-17. Uday Ved, Head of Tax, KPMG and Ketan Dalal, Joint leader, Tax and Regulatory Services, PwC India share their views on this development. Ved said that a deferment of GAAR is a welcome move.
