Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set new ambitious targets for India’s space program, to send an Indian to the moon by 2040 and to have an Indian space station by 2035. Towards the realization of the ambitious Gaganyaan Mission 20 major tests have to be undertaken before an Indian astronaut can be sent to space in 2024 – 2025.
