The elections are upon us, and there is a clear sense that the opposition has lost its grip on the narrative. One of the reasons for this is the anti-Modi coalition, especially the Congress, has faltered with its alliances - either not able to seal traditional alliances - like with the RJD, and the NCP or tie up new ones - like with the AAP in Delhi, or the Left in West Bengal. The BJP on the other hand has been much more decisive with closing deals, even with prickly allies like the Shiv Sena or the AGP in Assam. Tonight, on Reality Check, we discuss in the race to stitch up the alliances, does the BJP-led NDA have an edge?
