Gandhis' SPG Security Dropped
The Gandhi family will no longer have top level Special Protection Group cover and will now be given Z Plus category security. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will now be the only person to be guraded by the elite SPG commandos. In August, the government had also downgraded former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's security cover. The latest decision has taken on political overtones with the Congress leaders accusing the government of playing with the leaders' lives.
