Gang cuts off Kerala lecturer's hand
An eight-member gang attacked college lecturer T J Joseph as he was returning from church with his family on a Sunday morning, and cut off his right hand. His sister picked up his severed hand and carried it to the hospital in a plastic bag. For more than 16 hours, six doctors performed a series of surgeries to reattach the hand to his right arm.
