Garden city sees red over tree felling
Almost every city in the world today faces the challenge of growing vehicle population - and limited road space. While cities like London cope with this by levying huge taxes on private vehicles and strengthening public transport, Bangalore is widening roads. Beautiful rain trees on Bangalore's picturesque roads are being cut. But, is there a middle path or a more sustainable solution to this problem?
