Former India opener Gautam Gambhir has strongly backed Indian opener KL Rahul, who has been stripped of vice captaincy and runs the risk of getting dropped in the third Test match starting in Indore from March 1. Gambhir said KL Rahul should not be dropped from the Indian side as one should not single out any player. He felt that everyone went through lean patch and that's why no one should tell the Indian opener that he is not doing well. "You have to back players who have talent. Look at Rohit Sharma (Indian captain), he also had lean patch. Now he is doing great. Indian team management is rightly backing KL Rahul. He is a great player. We had scored so many international runs. India is 2-0 up and not 0-2 down. So let's not axe anyone and appreciate the team." (Video credit: PTI)
