A Hamas delegation will visit Cairo today for talks aimed at securing a ceasefire, as per reports, as mediators stepped up efforts to reach a deal ahead of an expected Israeli assault on the southern city of Rafah. Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is returning to the Middle East on yet another mission to the region since the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza began more than six months ago.
