GJM for separate dress code for Gorkhas
The saying goes that there's nothing more strange than a stranger in a new place. But even if you are a familiar visitor or tourist with Darjeeling, this one time you might feel you are in a different place. In keeping with their demand for Gorkha identity and statehood, leaders of the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha spearheading the movement have decreed that the local populace must dress in traditional attire for a month from October 7 till November 7.
