Global slowdown hits hospitality industry
Global gloom has hit the hospitality industry. Both business and leisure travel is down by 12 per cent and this is now showing up in fewer hotel bookings. "There is a drop in occupancy rates by 10 per cent across multiple cities," said Sushil Gupta, MD-West, Asian Hotels.
