The small state of Goa has thrown up a decisive mandate in favour of the BJP. It's been an election of many firsts. A son of a mechanic beat a 5-time MLA, an independent who switched parties thrice this election won and an embattled congress said a split opposition vote ultimately helped the BJP. The voters are just happy it's not a hung house and are now hoping for the new government to deliver on the promises made to the people.
