After a long violent stand-off between his supporters and the Haryana police, controversial guru Rampal was arrested on Wednesday night. He had ignored more than 40 orders from a court. But his lawyer claims that Rampal was held captive by anti-social elements and hence he is not to be blamed for the mayhem happening in and around his ashram. Was Rampal really held captive by his own men? What about those who indulged in violence? Was the state government at fault?
