GoM on aviation meet on new policy
If there is one area where the license Raj is still alive and kicking it is rather surprisingly airlines, where lobbying and political clout still seem to rule the skies. Take the case of the rather arbitrary rule that no private Indian airline can fly abroad if it has less than five years experience. The Group of Ministers met Tuesday evening and this arbitrary five-year rule may soon be changed.
