Google plans to partner with automakers on its self-driving car project, but is not yet ready to announce anything concrete, the head of the project said Tuesday. In a rare public appearance, John Krafcik said the company is aiming for full autonomy in vehicles to help those unable to drive themselves, and showed off some of the surprising real-world scenarios its cars have come across in testing, such as a woman in an electric wheelchair chasing a duck across a street.
