Gouri Debnath was used to multi-tasking – from doing her tailoring work to make ends meet, to running the household and looking after her young son and aging mother. Joining the USHA Silai School Project in January 2014, as one of their trainees, brought new hope to her and her family. She says that today whatever she has been able to do is because of USHA and it is a matter of pride for her.
