Government Against All Who Backed Suresh Kalmadi, Abhay Chautala: Vijay Goel
Sports Minister Vijay Goel lashed out at the Indian Olympic Association over appointments of Suresh Kalmadi and Abhay Chautala as its lifetime members. Speaking to NDTV, he called IOA's decision "unacceptable" and said that the government was against "backdoor entry of tainted people". Replying to the Congress's attack on Anurag Thakur who was present at the meeting that appointed Mr Kalmadi and Mr Chautala to IOA, he said, "government won't back anyone who supports a wrong decision".
