"Government Has No Action Plan": Congress Leader On 'Sinking' Joshimath
When asked whether the BJP bears the sole responsibility for the crisis in Joshimath given that this is a process in continuum, Manish Khanduri from the Congress said, "This has been a learning process for all of us. The people of the state despite this crisis want roads, power, and livelihood in terms of development. The question is how to deliver the same using a sustainable development economic model. The immediate response of the BJP is what was disappointing as this has been building up for a year and a half. The response came in very late and wasn't enough. The compensation is laughable. There is no concerted action plan which the government is bringing to bear on the situation."
