'Government Is Acting As Per Its Whims': Shyam Benegal

As the controversy around the dropping of two films for the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa continues, filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh, who headed the jury, has resigned. Filmmaker Shyam Benegal told NDTV, "If the government has decided that what the jury has selected is not correct, then why did they choose the jury in the first place?" Mr Benegal said "the government is acting on the basis of its whims and not principles, and such actions set a bad precedent."
