Government vs Greenpeace: In National Interest or Crushing Dissent?

An aggressive government has defended the off-loading of Greenpeace activist Priya Pillai from a flight to London last week. The Home Ministry in its affidavit has said that Ms Pillai's deposition before foreign Parliament would be prejudicial to national interest and leave India open to sanctions regime. On The Buck Stops Here, we debate: is this in national interest or is it about crushing dissent? Can one activist really threaten the might of the Indian government on global stage?
