Govinda not contesting Lok Sabha polls
The Maharastra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan said that actor-politician Govinda has expressed his unwillingness to contest from Mumbai North Lok Sabha constituency from where he had defeated BJP's Ram Naik in 2004. Chavan said actress Nagma has showed readiness to contest from the seat. "Govinda, like other sitting MPs, was asked if he was willing to contest again in the Lok Sabha polls, but he declined the offer," Chavan told reporters at State Congress party office in central Mumbai.
