Popular actor Govinda was hospitalised this morning after he suffered a bullet injury on his leg at his home, Mumbai Police have said. The actor, it is learnt, is out of danger. The injury was caused around 4.45 am due to a misfire from his licensed revolver. He was alone at home at the time of the incident.
Govinda's manager Shashi Sinha told news agency ANI that the 60-year-old actor, also a Shiv Sena leader, was getting ready to leave for Kolkata. He was keeping his licensed revolver in its case when he dropped it. The gun went off and the bullet hit his leg. "The doctor has removed the bullet and his condition is fine. He is in the hospital right now," Mr Sinha said.
