The corridors of power in India are always abuzz with rumours of big deals and of big money changing hands. Corruption is something that's never easy to establish. But a smaller more intimate portrait of the same greed surfaces, when we quiz the families of girls on their encounters with dowry. Each time we were told that the highest demands came from those who worked in the government. The highest price is set for officers from India's elite civil service, the IAS.
