Govt grapples with storage problem of surplus wheat

Nearly Rs 150 crore worth of foodgrains is spoilt each year, according to the government, in storage and transportation. With nearly 5 million tonnes of extra wheat procurement last year, a post-Independence record, the wastage is likely to go up.
