Govt not in favour of deregulation of diesel, LPG

The meeting of the empowered group of ministers will take place on May 23, but the crucial issue of deregulation of diesel and LPG will not be addressed as the government is not in favour to take this step. It may for now agree on a one-time hike in diesel prices but leave cooking gas prices untouched.
