Govt notifies ESOP rules for FBT
The Finance Minister P Chidambaram will be soon presenting his next budget but certain proposals of his last budget are still getting ironed out. Last week the finance ministry brought out a fresh circular on the treatment of fringe benefit tax (FBT) on employee stock options (ESOP). This could come as another rude shock for many employees.
