Govt to infuse Rs 3,800 cr in 3 PSU banks

Banks need to lend to grow but many public sector banks have no capital to do so. In order to push them to lend more, the finance ministry has given a Rs 3,800-crore fund infusion into state-run lenders – UCO Bank, Central Bank of India and Vijaya Bank -- to soar up their capital adequacy.
