There was plenty of bonhomie on display between Prime Minister Modi and President Trump. But also some blunt talk about Pakistan, terrorism, business and the equality of citizens. While the President is not visiting Pakistan, he called for a reduction of tension between India and Pakistan. Trump also addressed two other issues, that the US should be India's primary defence trading partner and that India is the world's biggest arms importer. President Trump also underscored India was known for peaceful coexistence amongst Hindu-Muslims, all religions. US officials have said Trump will raise "particularly the religious freedom issue, which is extremely important to this administration". In his response Prime Minister Modi described India and the US as natural partners. To anyone counting , President Trump who says he loves a big crowd announced 125,000 people were present, perhaps the biggest crowd he's got outside the US.
