Jai Ram Thakur, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh spoke exclusively to NDTV's Prannoy Roy on how Himachal Pradesh has had a good spell of no cases for about 10-15 days and then around the first week of May suddenly there were 50 cases. He said that the sudden spike in cases is due to the state government's attempts to bring back lakhs of people from other states with a high caseload of coronavirus. He also added that Himachal Pradesh is known internationally as a tourist destination and the Covid-19 crisis has definitely harmed the tourism industry.
