Greenland, the world's largest island nation, is a beautiful but harsh frozen region. Situated between the arctic and atlantic oceans, it is an autonomous country within the kingdom of Denmark. As far as climate change is concerned, Greenland is ground zero. That the climate is changing is most evident here. A country that has little human activity, with a population of just 50,000 and no industrialization, most greenlanders live along the coast and the traditional activity here is hunting and fishing.
