Grocery shops fighting corporate houses
Very often in the mornings, every one of us has rushed to the corner grocery shop to get a loaf of bread or dal. These shops could soon vanish as they are fighting a huge manpower crunch and competition from big retail chains. Muneeswaran, along with his elder brother Ratnam, came to Chennai 18 years ago. As youngsters from a remote village in Southern Tamil Nadu, the brothers were not adept at any other trade.
