Oreva group, which was given the contract for the repair and maintenance of Gujarat bridge that collapsed on Sunday, is under the scanner. A big board in the town of Morbi where the accident took place claims the company specialises in manufacturing wall clocks, telephone and alarm clocks and that they are in business since 1971. Neither their website nor advertisements say that they are in the business of maintenance or construction. The big question is why was a company with no prior expertise in construction given such a lucrative project.
