Mizoram is set to witness an interesting contest this time. All this while, Mizoram has largely witnessed a direct election contest between the Congress and the Zoramthanga-led Mizo National Front (MNF). But this time, there are three strong contenders for the post of the chief minister from three opposing parties: the MNF, Congress, and Zoram People's Movement (ZPM). The BJP is also trying to make inroads in a state where it has never come to power, with huge announcements, especially in infrastructure, by national leaders during the campaign. The four-cornered poll battle has changed the earlier predictable equation in the electoral math of the state. NDTV's Ratnadip Choudhury reports from Lengpui, where voters are looking forward to this keen contest.
