Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the Puri Howrah Vande Bharat Express from Puri on Thursday afternoon. The modern, comfortable semi-high-speed train will cut the travel time between Kolkata in West Bengal and Puri in Odisha, the abode of Lord Jagannath. NDTV travelled on the train on its inaugural journey and spoke to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on the train. Ashwini Vaishnaw told NDTV that India is developing a 250kmph train indigenously in line with the Prime Minister's Make In India vision.
